Stay in Touch Membership

Sunday, Oct 11 - 4:00 P.M.
We are sorry you will not be curling with us this season. But we hope you will stay in touch!

In fact, we have created a new membership just for those Huntley Members who have decided to pause their membership for the 2020/21 season. It’s called the ‘Stay in Touch Membership’ and it helps maintain your league status, keeps you connected through email, helps the Club financially and lets you vote at the AGM.

A Stay in Touch Membership gives you three important privileges:

1. A carryover of 2019/2020 league status to be used in holding member preference. While not a guarantee of a league or team placement it improves your priority ahead of new members wishing to join competitive leagues next season. This preference expires on the on the Membership Preference date for the 2021/22 season.

2. Entitles you to continue club emails through this season (so you hear first hand what we are up to)

3. Secures you a vote at the AGM

In exchange for the above three privileges we are asking for $100, half of which will help to cover this season’s operating expenses and the other 50% will contribute to the Club’s capital fund.

Multiple Stay in Touch Memberships can be purchased if you wish to donate more to HCC but only 1 vote per named entry/address is valid.

60/40 Weekly Draw

Friday, Oct 23 to Friday, Apr 16 - 4:00 P.M.
Sign up for the 60/40 draw! Each week will draw a member's name, if that member has paid the $60/40 participation fee they collect the pot. On the other hand (this is where it gets exciting) if they have not paid their 60/40 fee, the pot carries forward to the next week.

Winners will be notified by email and a cheque sent to them for the amount they won.

The pot is carried forward each week until there is a winner! The last draw of the season there must be a winner, so we draw until we get one.

Will you be a lucky winner - play to find out.

NOTE: You must be a registered HCC Adult member (you need a membership #) to participate in 60/40 draws
Event is closed.
Registration Closed

2020/21 Adult Learn to Curl (LTC)

Saturday, Nov 14 to Friday, Feb 26 - 4:00 P.M.
Curling is one of Canada's and the world's premier sports. There is no greater way to spend the long dark winter hours than throwing some rocks, meeting new friends and sharing some good memories and laughs. Whether you're 18 or 80 the Huntley Curling Club is offering a Learn To Curl program, based on the guidelines of the Canadian Curling Association, and offered by a growing number of curling clubs across the country. This is a great way to get introduced to curling and gain entry to a club and its leagues for your ongoing enjoyment and playing of the game!

Some of the best coaches and curlers from our club will be teaching adults how to curl in a structured 10 week program. The cost is $250.00 for 10 sessions and the program includes:

• Sessions are Saturdays, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and curlers are asked to arrive no later than 1:15pm

• Starts Oct 19, 2019 and runs to Dec 21, 2019

• Maximum 32 Learn to Curlers

• Learn to Curlers receive a "gripper" and a "step-on slider" (and we show you what they are and to use them)

• Brooms are provided for the training

Donation Campaign: Roof Replacement

Wednesday, Jan 06 - 4:00 P.M.

Thank you for considering donating to Huntley Curling Club’s Roof Replacement Campaign.

After 42 years, it also has some wear and tear. And since fall and winter bring rain, hail, snow and ice, we need to make repairs now to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our patrons for the next 25 seasons. The top priority is a new roof. While all members pay a $50 capital maintenance fee as part of their annual dues, but it isn’t enough to keep our building in perfect shape. Over the next year, we hope to raise $500,000 and your donation will definitely help.

We’re asking for your support to complete these renovations because our Club is an important part of our community’s social connectedness, a place for camaraderie and competitions, bonspiels and birthday bashes. Because curling is a sport for life that can be played by anyone from 8 to 88 to ensure the long-term health and mental wellbeing that are more important than ever in the wake of COVID-19. And because reaping those benefits depends on a well-maintained facility.

Your donation will ensure that we can continue to provide them with a great curling experience and so much more.

You can make your donation by credit card (MasterCard or VISA) by completing the fields below. You will receive an email confirming the transaction.

Thank you very much for your generous support.
